About Asheville Youth Mission
Located in the mountains of North Carolina, Asheville Youth Mission gives young people an opportunity to explore the hidden needs and struggles of those who are living on the margins within and around a beautiful tourist town. Groups will work with a variety of agencies working with those who are homeless, in poverty, or food insecure, both in urban and rural settings.
Mission Immersion
AYM’s Mission Immersion programs are opportunities for groups of young people to dive into the challenges and needs of our neighbors who live on the margins of the Asheville community. These programs include week-long summer mission trips, weekend trips in the fall and spring, and spring break mission trips. Mission Immersion experiences include lodging, food, service at a variety of local agencies, and debriefing that uses Bible study, group discussion, and art projects lead by AYM staff. |
Other Mission Experiences
Asheville Youth Mission provides additional mission experiences through our partnerships with local camp and conference centers. This includes Montreat Conference Center, Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center, and Christmount Retreat, Camp and Conference Center. |
College Opportunities
Asheville Youth Mission has a variety of opportunities for college-aged young people, including summer internships, workshops, and specially tailored experiences for college group spring break trips |
