I wanted to get involved with the organization again, and wanted a way to reach out and help my community, and the Mission Scholars program seemed like the perfect opportunity!!!!

​The reason I became a mission scholar is because I wanted to take my faith and learning to the next level. In the past I have learned so much about my community and how it works, and about the system and history our society was built on. The discussions we have are next level and it’s so refreshing to hear different perspectives and build onto a simple or complex idea.

​I became a mission scholar because I believe that education is important and that the best way to make to change is to learn about the hurting areas immediately around me. I also wanted to meet people who had similar beliefs and were ready to talk about their perspectives. Being a Mission Scholar has given me an opportunity to learn about myself, my faith, community, and the ways that they are connected.
