Text: Psalm 126: 1-3
Title: Dreaming
“It seemed like a dream, too good to be true…” verse 1 of the Message translation of this psalm. We can all relate to this. At some point in our lives it has felt like a dream that was too good to be true. Everything is just as it should be, even if just for a moment. That feeling of joy and elation brings peace like nothing else can.
This feels like a prayer of Thanksgiving. A moment to thank God for all the good in our lives. The rescue from exile and the restoration of God’s kingdom (kin-dom). A dream that has come true.
Challenge: “What are we waiting for?” Take time today to reflect on the good that God has done in your life. Make a list of the blessings you have received in the last few years. You just might be amazed at the abundant goodness you recall.
Prayer: God of all that is good and great in this world, we thank you for your blessings upon us. You provide us with more than we could ever dream of. Help us recognize what you have done and share it with others. Amen.
